The location is excellent, and the room had a big refrigerator. That’s about all I can praise. It’s cheaper than other hotels near the beach, but still not cheap. There was no outside window, and the bathroom suction fan barely worked. Since you often come back with damp clothes, the only way to air the room was to pump the door. It ended up smelling damp and moldy. Hot water was available only some days. The safety locker only worked with a key, the code pad did nothing, so what’s the point? The door to the room felt flimsy enough that a 10-year-old could kick it in. Breakfast had to be ordered in time slots for delivery to the room. On the first day I ordered cereal, and they brought a bare bowl of cornflakes with coffee and juice. Yogurt arrived in a glass 15 minutes later. On other days I ordered sandwiches: two grilled ham and cheese sandwiches came with butter and jam, but no knife to spread it with, even if that made sense. You pay upfront and leave a $100.000 deposit. I guess that says more about the kind of people who stay here. If you’re out all day and only come back to sleep, it might be fine, if you can put up with not being able to open a window during the day.
