Chuchos Place

A place to relax.

I stayed in February, and the shared kitchen was in awful shape. It was filthy, and even the fridge had spoiled food in it. The area also didn’t feel ideal: several people cautioned us to be careful there. The price in San Andrés is reasonable, but that doesn’t excuse dirty, poorly maintained facilities. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I arrived in San Andrés, saw the place for myself, lost the money I’d put down for the reservation, and then had to find a hostel somewhere decent. The property was nothing like the photos, had no drinking water, and there was no reception or anyone around to look after it. The entrance was awful and the place wasn’t clean. It’s a long way from both the center and the beaches. Harold's wife had an extremely bad attitude, seeming completely unenthusiastic and even rude. I can’t recommend it at all. There are better and cheaper options in the city center.

I had a comfortable, peaceful six-day stay and didn’t run into any problems. The place felt safe and was affordable, with shops nearby and the option to cook. It had everything I needed for a pleasant visit. The staff at Harold Place were kind and helpful, and I thought it was good value for the money.
