The rooms had just a bed, a nightstand, and a TV that didn’t work, and they looked like jail cells. There was barely any running water in the bathrooms, and the linens were stained, moldy, and worn out. The humidity smell was unbearable. We managed to sleep there for only one night, then had to find somewhere else for the rest of our trip. The whole hotel was under construction, including the rooms, hallways, pool area, and other amenities, which were out of service. The lobby was in rough shape because of the work, and we were greeted by unfriendly front desk staff. This was meant to be my birthday celebration, so I was very disappointed and discouraged. Please research before going to San Andrés, since, in my experience, 90% of the buildings need remodeling or are under construction.

The view and the essence of the place are lovely, and I think it deserves more love and appreciation. It isn’t perfect, but I really liked having a drink on the terrace. Really adorable!

I enjoyed my stay, and the location is right by the ocean beach, with a beautiful private swimming area in the sea and the boardwalk shops just next door. Cleanliness was good during our visit. The food wasn’t really to my taste, though Americans like us are used to steaks and hamburgers. We went for the Caribbean island experience, not the hotel, and this was over a year ago. If you want to chat with the employees, you might want to learn the country’s language.

The rooms were nicer before the remodel. Now they’re torn apart, have no hot water, and are nasty. Hotel Pierre said they wouldn’t charge me, so I went to another hotel, but they lied. I’ll contact my credit card company. Stay away.
