The bathroom was in awful shape, with rust, mold, and dampness, and it smelled terrible. The room looked nothing like the photos, and a thin wall riddled with holes meant the people next door could see and hear everything. There was no privacy at all. On arrival, things were already chaotic: despite my messages through Booking.com, the staff didn’t know about our reservation. They also said I hadn’t paid, even though my card was on file, and the property didn’t accept cards. I was surprised by the positive reviews because our stay was so uncomfortable. I wouldn’t come back.

The room was clean and had a working fridge, TV, wardrobe, and air conditioning. We had a private double room with a bathroom, though the window had no view. There were two mirrors and outlets beside the bed. The shower had good pressure but no shower head, and you’ll need to bring soap. There was no toilet brush. This is very basic accommodation, but the price for the quality is the best we found on San Andrés. The kitchen outside has two gas burners, though the pots and pans were in rough shape and needed washing before I used them. Reception has lockers, so bring a padlock. There’s also a patio by reception and Wi-Fi at around 10 Mbps. The staff are friendly, but they don’t speak English. It’s about a five-minute walk to a supermarket, 10 to the beach, 15 to the town center, and 17 to the airport. A taxi to the center costs 20.000 COP. The public beach in the center closes at 18:00 and has no showers.

The water is salty, and it’s about a 15-minute walk to the center and the shops. The people are really nice, though, and the service is good.
