Adventure hostel

The family who run this hostel were the highlight for us. All three generations were cheerful and happy to chat, and they helped whenever we had a question or a problem. The place has roomy indoor and outdoor shared areas, with a pool and hammocks, plus reasonably priced laundry and help booking adventure activities. The rooms are simple but pleasant, and the value is extraordinary. We’d recommend it to anyone.

We arrived at the terminal pretty late, around 10 pm, and Isabella arranged for a friend of hers who works as a taxi driver to pick us up. She was lovely and really helpful throughout. Our private room had a fan, which we appreciated, and the pool was great too. We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend the hostel. Thanks, Isa!

The kitchen was well stocked and everything stayed very clean. We spent four nights here and felt like part of the family, thanks to the wonderful staff. When we weren’t feeling well, they made tea and checked on us, and they were happy for us to extend our stay. She also helped us find a good paragliding company, offered help booking other things, and helped us a lot with our Spanish. A perfect stay with lovely staff.

The owners welcomed us with such warmth that they became our family in Colombia. They explained what to see around the area and in the country, and were always smiling and ready to help with whatever we needed. The kitchen has everything, the place is clean and new, and there’s a relaxing outdoor area. A perfect spot to spend time in San Gil. Don’t miss it, you’ll fall in love :)
