Palmar San Gil

The hotel is beautiful and unusual, with lovely views, but the service really fell short. We stayed four nights and found the location inconvenient. Town is 15 minutes away, so each trip meant a 30-minute taxi ride costing $15 USD. There aren't any shops nearby, and the one restaurant close by wasn't very good. I'd suggest staying nearer town. The jacuzzi only reaches 36 degrees C/96 degrees F, which is a letdown if that's why you're considering the hotel. There are no water bottles provided either, disappointing at this price. On our last day the AC stopped working. We told the host how hot the room was, but they didn't offer a fan or another room. All we got was an apology and the explanation that their mechanic had stopped working at 3pm, so we'd have to wait until tomorrow.

Waking up to the mountains around the property was one of the best parts of my trip. The staff were warm and accommodating, and there's plenty to do nearby, including white water rafting, rappel, and paragliding. Pálmar San Gil Hotel felt like a hidden gem in Colombia. The gardens are lush, the pool sparkles, and the modern rooms have in suite jacuzzis. I had a luxurious stay and would absolutely recommend it. I'll definitely be back.

Everything was in order and I felt comfortable and safe there. It was a peaceful, beautiful place, and my stay was excellent. I'd gladly return and recommend it.

The hosts were so kind and attentive whenever we needed anything, and we hope to come back soon. These lovely villas bring together nature, a nice climate, and quiet with technology and luxury. The service was excellent too.
