Cabañas Annapurna

The neighborhood is very noisy, and the street below seems to go all night. The cookware is falling apart, and I wouldn’t drink or use the water since the reserve tanks have open lids. The view could be nicer without all the power lines. The jacuzzi is tiny, though still refreshing, and the place itself is nice but very small, with low ceilings.

The view was the one good part. We had a terrible stay otherwise, and I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. The place was dirty, ants showed up if we left food out for five minutes, the fridge smelled foul, and the wind was so loud we needed earplugs to sleep. There was no hot water, and basic listed items like shampoo, conditioner, and soap were missing. We got half a roll of toilet paper and a flimsy, thin blanket, then had to ask Juan Carlos repeatedly for more toilet paper and a proper blanket. We also had a lot of other concerns and needed to contact him many times. He was initially very nice, but became passive aggressive and rude whenever we raised an issue or needed something. The listing sounds appealing, but the actual stay was awful: dirty, smelly, loud, and short on essentials. The host was rude and dishonest, and expected fluent communication, which seems unreasonable. I’m on vacation and don’t want to spend all day texting my Airbnb host. There are lots of other good places in Taganga and Santa Marta, so don’t settle for this one.

It’s a nice place, and a few small fixes could make it much better. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great, the jacuzzi was a bit dirty, and only one of the two gas stove burners worked.
