The views of Taganga from the rooms and outdoor tubs are spectacular. The tubs aren’t hot, though that’s probably for the best. Getting up the hill from town and then climbing the stairs to the rooms is a lot, especially with no sidewalks or much around the hotel. Staff respond quickly, and WhatsApp is the best way to reach them since there’s no lobby or front desk. Our family enjoyed it, but it won’t be for everyone.

The view is outstanding, but the area feels a bit dirty and not very safe. The food is just normal, and getting around is hard if you don’t have a car.

We stayed at casa Paraiso (house 2) from the 7th of August to the 14th of August 2022. The house has a beautiful view of the Taganga Bahia, and it’s a good place to catch a boat to different beaches. But the furniture could be better, and the house needs more care. Taganga town isn’t pretty and is a bit dirty. When we arrived, the person at reception wasn’t welcoming and didn’t help much with our luggage on the stairs. We were having a good time until the evening of Thursday the 11th of August. After getting a bite in town, my husband and I walked back toward the Airbnb, about 10 minutes away. At around 7.30 pm, only three minutes from the main entrance of Casa Paraiso, two men on a motorbike came up with a gun and demanded my crossbag. They took our Iphone 13 pro, wallet, keys, and other things. We called the police and gave them the “find my Iphone” location, but they couldn’t do much. We asked the reception team to get the owner to show us the camera footage, but the owner showed no interest and didn’t share the videos from that night that might have helped police find our things. The owner didn’t even call to ask how we were after such a traumatic experience. Thank God nothing serious happened, but I wouldn’t recommend walking on that main street, and would even suggest staying somewhere else.

We stayed four nights, and the place was completely run down. For what you pay, it’s a waste. It was full of mosquitoes at night. 1 out of 10.

The house was really dirty when we arrived, and the host was unfriendly. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend it.
