Hilton Santa Marta

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty of choices and a particularly nice range of fresh fruit, though it got crowded at times. We also enjoyed the spa therapies, and dinner at Waku was a pleasant surprise. Most of the food was great, but the lobster was too salty and overcooked for our taste. The lifts were the main drawback. Only three were available, and because they stop on so many floors, waits could get long. The front desk area was crowded now and then too, but neither issue spoiled the stay. We were upgraded to an oceanfront suite on the 15th floor, with amazing 180-degree views of the beach and ocean. The room was spacious, outstanding, and in impeccable condition. As Hilton Diamond members, the front desk team recognized us several times, which made us feel appreciated and valued throughout our visit. We absolutely loved our 10/10 stay. Hilton Santa Marta will be our first choice if we return, and we really hope we do.

Raquel took fantastic care of us from start to finish. We'd absolutely come back. The Sunday rooftop DJ had a 10/10 sunset vibe, and if you're there on a Sunday, the all-you-can-eat brunch has so much food. Breakfast is a must too. The hotel is a little farther from central Santa Marta, which worked in its favor for us. The beach felt so private, and walking onto it from the hotel each morning was a breath of fresh air.

The pools are 10/10, the beach is great, and the rooftop pool is adults-only. It's a semi-private beach, with a Hilton area and a public area. The entrance feels grand, the staff are great, and the food is good, though a little pricey. Skip the brilla tacos, they aren't how they should be. Beds get 9/10, but the pillows are only 5/10 because they're too THIN. It took over 30 minutes to get our room ready. The shower pressure was very strong, 10/10, and the soap, shampoo, and conditioner were amazing, also 10/10. The TV is nice and big, though its channels kept freezing. They have a wide selection of alcohol, and there's a mall about a 10-minute walk away. We'd come back.

Kevin made our two weeks at the Uzu Pool Bar unforgettable. He was our bartender every day, always friendly and engaging, and had a great energy that made everyone feel welcome. He remembered what we liked, made sure the drinks were just right, and greeted us with a smile and good conversation. His service was consistently fun, professional, attentive, and full of personality. Kevin really shows what great hospitality looks like. The Uzu Pool Bar is lucky to have him, and we can't wait to come back and see him again.
