It's close to everything, which makes the location great, and the rooms and service were nice. Just be aware that nights can be loud, so falling asleep early might be difficult. Breakfast was really good, with unlimited coffee, and there's a lovely patio to use throughout the day with a city and sunset view.
The service was top notch, and this was the best deal in the area. Downtown Santa Marta is easy to explore on foot, with the main bar streets and squares only a few minutes away. The reception was outstanding. I'd definitely try to stay there again whenever I'm back in Santa Marta.
The staff were the best part, and the location is great too. Our room was spacious and very clean, and housekeeping cleaned it daily. The bathroom was fine and otherwise impeccable, though the shower had no head, which wasn't really a problem, and no door or curtain, so water made a mess. The sunsets were great, but a higher room would have been better because the trees partly blocked the view. Street noise was another downside, though that's not the hotel's fault. Santa Marta has great nightlife.
The location is convenient, but for the same money you can find a better place nearby, with nicer rooms and even a pool. This hotel feels old, and my toilet never worked. They didn't repair it while I was there.
They changed the nightly rates during my stay, then hit me with unexpected charges at checkout. It felt like they were taking advantage of tourists. The worst experience I've had, and I wouldn't recommend staying here to anyone.
