It’s cosy rather than luxurious, and my private room had a comfortable bed, though it was quite dark and didn’t have a sea view. The price felt very fair for such an incredible location, and Caldos, who runs the place, was attentive. I loved the down-to-earth, local family feel of Halaliku. Booking through Whatsapp on the day I arrived was easy and smooth.

In Mendihuaca, Halaliku is great value for money. The rooms are beautiful, and you can take a comfy nap in the hammocks with a great view of the beach. Andres, the owner, is very sweet and made me feel at home right away.

A really cool beach hostel right beside a good surf spot. The hosts have a great sense of humor, and we had a lot of fun with them. They took great care of us and the other guests. Highly recommended!

Carlos was such a kind, respectful, and trustworthy host, always ready to help with anything we needed. My wife and I had a really lovely stay and plan to come back soon, God willing. The breakfasts were delicious, and the price felt excellent for what you get. It’s a relaxing place with everything you need. If you visit, have Carlos make you a burger. You won’t regret it.
