Hostal La Casa de Felipe

There are plenty of places to sit back, including hammocks and a top terrace with a lovely view. The garden around the pool feels like a little paradise, full of flowers and plants. Our room was nicely decorated and had a fan; the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean and well laid out, and the showers were good. Breakfast is included, with lots of choices and good quality. There’s also a large guest kitchen if you want to cook. The staff were so kind and helpful. I thought it was amazing value, and I can’t recommend it enough.

The pool was perfect, the meals were fresh and really tasty, and everyone was so helpful. Such a refreshing place to stay. Looking forward to coming back!

I had a great stay from beginning to end, with lots of places to relax and explore. There’s a well-equipped kitchen, a refreshing pool, and a lounge upstairs with hammocks and a view over the bay. A little shop is 100 m away, and the center is at most a five-minute walk. From Santa Marta, the easiest way to get there is the Bus Kra 11 from Central Market, near the Minca+Tayrona/Palomino Bus Stop. It’s well connected to places of interest in the area.

The staff are welcoming, and some speak a little English. Breakfast is included and about the quality you find elsewhere in Colombia. When the owner visited, they made a BBQ for the employees and invited me and some other guests too since there was plenty of food. That was a really nice gesture. It’s an affordable stay and good for the price. The grounds have a lot of thoughtful touches, and I liked resting in a hammock or the easy chair on the little platform above the rooms. The rooms could be a bit bigger, and a mosquito net would have been useful, but I didn’t have anything else to criticize.
