A bookstore and bakery across the street makes amazing croissants, which was a lovely bonus. The hotel itself has cozy rooms, a great location, and very friendly staff. I'd highly recommend it as a base for visiting Santa Marta and the surrounding area.

The location worked well, quiet but still close to the center. We also liked the comfortable king-size bed and the AC in the room. The laundry service was the worst we've had in five months of travel, despite costing over €20, the most we'd paid. They weighed our clothes wet, which seemed to increase the weight. Everything came back in awful condition: our white clothes were pink, and the rest was badly crumpled in a plastic bag. The hotel wouldn't listen to us or offer any compensation.

Michelle and Luis deserve special mention. When we had minor hot water trouble, they were friendly and attentive, and fixed something on the roof within 45 minutes. The hot water worked again in all the rooms, and I ended up with a wonderfully hot shower. There's excellent coffee too. A great base on a quiet street, with a huge bed.

BROT is just across the street diagonally, and we were glad to get breakfast there. We had a wonderful stay after four days in bunks during Ciudad Perdida. Michelle and Luïs took great care of us, they're super friendly, helpful, and speak English. The beds are enormous and incredibly comfortable, so we slept like babies. I even found my sunglasses again, yay!
