Hotel Mirador de Taganga

The rooms are old, the bathrooms too, and our so-called second “best room” had a smelly urinal right outside it. We had no pool or other amenities, and breakfast was just okay. They say it runs from 8 to 10 am, but staff loudly bang on your door until you come out, whenever they decide it's time. The club is directly above the rooms and plays music very loudly. After it closes, its guests party right outside your room on the “balcony.” It's advertised as private, but it's actually a shared terrace, and management and housekeeping do nothing about the noise. The view from it isn't of the bay as claimed, just a dirty, dusty alley. We had to buzz to get the locked gates opened whenever we wanted to come or go. Our room wasn't cleaned once during our 4 days and 3 nights. This isn't a good place if you expect even basic accommodation.

The location and view are good, but the facilities are poor. We didn't even stay one night because they cancelled our booking, saying someone else had taken the room, even though I'd booked several days earlier. Apparently this has happened to many people. They made a joke of us. I strongly recommend skipping this place.

The view is nice and the pool is good, but the service isn't as good as it used to be, and the rooms haven't improved. Prices have gone up, so what you get doesn't match what you pay.

Perfect location and super service. The owner is a really lovely lady!
