The location works well if you want to be near downtown Santa Marta, and the staff are very kind.

I booked a week and enjoyed my stay. The rooms were large, clean, and had AC. Staff were friendly, and there was laundry service plus a small restaurant serving food and coffee. You can walk to the Santa Marta Marina, the beach, shops, restaurants, cafes, ATMs, a park, a church, bars, and more. The friendly cat in the lobby was a nice touch. There were a few drawbacks: traffic on the street outside, including loud trucks, cars, and motorbikes, carried on into the night. Construction on a large high-rise next door started early and went on all day. The pillows were thin and uncomfortable. Even so, I enjoyed the stay and would return. 8.5/10. The place was spotless and the location worked really well. Staff were friendly and quick to sort out a few Booking.com mix-ups, taking responsibility and making things easy with plenty of help. The beds felt a little hard, though I know that's personal preference.

I had my arm in a cast, and they still expected me to pay for an extra night if someone came into my room to help me pack. I couldn't believe it. I wouldn't return.
