The junior suite had its own porch and room for four, and the staff made me feel welcome and well looked after. The food was great, too. I really enjoyed getting away from everything here. Playa Grande was mostly empty when I went out in the evening and early morning, and the mountains and beach around the property made my walks lovely. I spotted lots of birds and animals, including a shy Iguana that kept running from me. I'd happily come back.

It was such a peaceful break, with lovely views and quiet evenings under the stars on the veranda. Henry and Claudia were wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed the meals as well as the special tropical cocktails Henry made.

The breeze at night was one of my favorite parts, and the scenery is beautiful. It’s a really calm place, with no club scene or loud music, and the host is attentive and friendly. The staff are humble, too. The beach is yours from 4 pm until 9 am, and the water is crystal clear. A great place to spend time with family, or even practice yoga. Thanks so much for everything.

We had a wonderful two-night stay. The view across the bay is spectacular when you arrive, and you can spot the house from a distance on the way in. Isabel and Humberto were excellent hosts, and the food they made was incredible. From Taganga, it’s under a 15-minute walk, or you can take a boat for 15,000 pesos round trip. Highly recommend!

The beach was crowded from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., so I wouldn’t call the area peaceful during those hours. The accommodation itself is secluded, though. I may have arrived during a quiet period when construction was going on, especially in the kitchen. Booking.com says there’s a shared kitchen, but it was such a mess that it was hard to find space to use it. The bigger concern was the water. I got sick after drinking water from plastic bags. The power cuts meant the fridge was turned off at night, so the food and the water kept changing temperature, including water that had been in the freezer, which seemed like an ideal situation for bacteria. There was also very little water available, just a few bottles that you had to buy. On my last night I was told there was none left, so I had no water from midnight until 10 a.m. the next day. I don’t think that’s normal. The owner suggested I had “threatened” them, but that isn’t true. I said I’d have to leave a negative review because of the conditions. I also never asked for a breakfast refund. I only learned about it when I was leaving, so it felt more like an effort to stop me from writing a review. 😄
