It’s a peaceful, relaxing place with lovely views of Taganga. You can come for beach time and snorkeling, try scuba diving as a beginner or at other levels, or visit the restaurant. There’s also a nice venue for events. Arrange scuba diving ahead of time, or just come by for the beach and food.

If you enjoy snorkeling, this is a great beach. The water is clear, though a bit cold, and there are different kinds of fish to see. My little daughter loved it. You don’t need to go to Playa Grande, which can get too crowded sometimes. I prefer paying 10.000 COP at Playaca instead of 15.000 COP per ticket for Playa Grande. Good experience and a beautiful beach. Excuse my English. =)

I came from Barcelona to visit Colombian friends, and this was the worst experience of my trip. We only wanted to enjoy the beach, but they made us feel bad. They charged $3,000 as corkage for a beer that costs $2,500. After 15 minutes, we wanted to leave because the person in charge was rude and arrogant, but they refused to refund our entrance fee. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The water was clear, clean, and just the right temperature, and the sunset between the cliffs turned the sky orange and purple. Tío and his family have made a beautiful hotel paradise on a well-kept, secluded beachfront right next to Taganga. We spent a weekend there and it was spectacular. The accommodations are spacious and modern, with air conditioning and comfortable beds. Tio went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted, even cooking a homemade BBQ one night. Highly recommend a visit or a stay if you can, for a special, authentic experience in Santa Marta.
