Villa Roca

Please avoid this place. The apartment was unsanitary, with ants and cockroaches. During the viewing, the living room fan fell over, though luckily nobody was hurt. The downstairs stair railing also came loose. An employee came into our apartment without warning and fixed it with silicone. There was a dog in the slides with our children, and we found broken mirrors and windows that wouldn't shut. The bunk beds were in such bad shape that our kids were afraid to sleep on the top, even though they usually argue over who gets it. There wasn't even a kettle, cookware, or toaster. Staff didn't respond to our concerns as if anything was wrong, and the person we spoke to seemed exasperated by the complaints. This doesn't deserve the one star the site requires to post a review.

Set up on the hill, this villa has a lovely view of Rodadero beach. The beach itself is nearby too.

The cost is affordable, and the restaurant is both good and inexpensive. There's also a liquor store on the first floor, and the place is very close to the water park. The pool and waterslide add a lot to the experience. It's a very good hotel, and the villas, or apartments, work well for families. Highly recommended.

Our house, number 4, had no water for about 90% of our one-day stay, and it never came back. There were nine of us. A cleaning lady lent us some towels only an hour before we had to leave, and there still weren't enough for everyone. We hadn't been provided towels earlier, perhaps because our stay was so short, but that's only our guess. The waterslide wasn't working right. The flow was too weak to get people sliding, and the water looked a bit dirty. Some kitchen utensils were old, stained, and dirty and badly needed replacing. There was air conditioning, but the TV only had two channels. We paid one million pesos and the service never met our expectations. We are very unlikely to return, and I can't recommend it.
