The outdoor areas look promising, and the semi-private beach is lovely if you can ignore the noise. I would come back after the construction is finished. When I checked in, about two-thirds of the place seemed to be under construction. I heard loud circular saws, men yelling, and hammers on metal, so I asked when work would happen. The front desk said 8am to 5pm, which seemed reasonable if it meant sleeping until 8. But the next morning I woke at 7 to screeching saws and shouting. The front desk said they couldn't ask the workers to wait until 8. Workers were on the balconies facing my courtyard, talking on speakerphone and staring at me when I went outside. The front desk person kindly moved me farther from the noise, but it could still be heard across the resort. I don't think the hotel should be operating until construction is done.

The restaurant menu looked fairly extensive, but dinner was limited to a sandwich. The desk supervisor suggested ordering from Dominos. Drinks, including bottled water, cost ridiculous amounts, and there was no filtered water anywhere in the hotel. The hotel looks good cosmetically, but that's about it. The AC leaked water into my room, and the electronic key card holder came off the wall, exposing electrical wires. It's supposed to be a 4 star hotel, yet it's literally beside the airport runway and the noise is deafening.

The service was bad. At the front desk, Diego C tried to charge me more than I owed. When I pointed that out, he was rude, then said I had to wait until my reservation time before he would give me my room key.

The housekeeping staff were really nice, but almost everything else was disappointing. Our booking through price line was for an ocean-view room with two king beds. We were put on the first floor looking at the pool towel cabinets, not even the pool. Management refused to honor the booking or offer a meaningful reimbursement. The manager said he'd move us upstairs and cover all our in-room services, but at checkout he was nowhere to be found. Staff told us to take it up with price line. They only comped one breakfast and one dinner. The resort is right by the airport and under the flight path, so takeoffs are loud every 10-15 minutes. There was also construction all around during our stay, which took away from the resort feel. Service felt uncaring, with what we called an “always no” response. The photos give a totally different impression, so don't be fooled. It was extremely overpriced for the location and service. There are better, cheaper options along the beach. I own a business and don't leave bad reviews unless I think they're deserved and might help someone avoid a situation like this. I'm not even sure two stars is appropriate.

The rooms were clean and quiet, and the service was excellent. There's a private beach area with kiosks to sit at, plus access to the public beach. They're still doing work, so expect daytime noise. I don't know the cab fare from the airport, but walking takes about 15 minutes. There's also a bus, which I think cost 2700 COP, and might be the best option.
