Hostal Mirador Andino

Maria is so sweet and makes you feel welcome, answers any questions, and leaves you wanting to come back. The rooftop terrace has amazing city views, and there's a cute little room where you can listen to vintage Colombian records. The kitchen is equipped with everything, even a toaster and blender. It's clean, quirky, creative, and has lovely service, just what I wish more hostels were like. It may be a bit too quiet for younger people, or it could be a welcome break from busier hostels.

The rooftop has a fantastic view, and the decorations and atmosphere are outstanding. It's very centrally located and a great hostel. When you travel, you hope to meet someone who treats you with warmth and kindness, and that's exactly what Maria does.

The mirador has one of the best views in Manizales, and the home itself feels cozy, quiet, and welcoming. I arrived after midnight in March, but the owner let me in without any fuss. He and his wife run the place, and they remembered my name each time we met. They only speak Spanish, but they're very friendly. I still remember my three-day stay.

That rooftop terrace and all the character in the decor really stood out. The hostel is right by the last cable car stop, which made the location super convenient, and the view is incredible. The staff were so friendly, too. After months traveling in South America, this was easily my favorite hostel, and the best one I've seen outside the region as well.
