Berlor Airport Inn

After a 13-hour flight, this was a great place to settle in, and it also worked well for getting ready for the trip back. The outdoor pool area with Alexa was lovely and very clean, with grass where I could stretch out. Every staff member was friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was amazing, better than any 5 Star hotel, fresh and local, and made with love :)

Miss Nelly was so kind and attentive, and I want to thank her personally. This is the sort of business we should keep supporting in this country. The rooms are small but cozy, nicely decorated, air-conditioned, and very clean. They felt mostly insulated from outside noise, though road and plane noise was still there and eased considerably after 10 or 11 PM. Miss Nelly keeps earbuds at reception. The bathroom is tiny and separated by a folding door, but as a couple we were fine with that. The place is well maintained, with a pleasant courtyard, garden, seating area, and pool at the back. It’s about 10 minutes from the airport, secluded from the busy road, and the small parking lot fits around four cars. There’s no food on site, but drinks and snacks are sold at very affordable prices, and she can suggest places to walk for a meal. A few spots about 400 m away serve chicken, sushi, seafood, or burgers at affordable prices. We had a satisfying, delicious Costa Rican breakfast the next morning, included, and they serve it from 6 AM for early travelers. The price felt very affordable for what you get.

Adobe rental car is next door, which made this a super convenient stop the night before our return flight. Service was very friendly, and water and ice were available. The rooms are clean and modern, though on the small side. The pool was nice, just a little cooler than I prefer. Breakfast was typical, with eggs and rice.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable, breakfast was good, and the staff were attentive and helpful. It’s handy for getting quickly to Adobe Rent-a-Car and SJO Airport.
