The big, clean room had everything we needed, and the breakfast was amazing. There's a large garden and a pool, and children are very welcome. It's close to the airport and worked perfectly for our first or last night. We felt so welcome on our first night in Costa Rica and really enjoyed the stay. Thank you!

The hostess was friendly and very helpful, and appreciated how patient she was with our limited Spanish. Google Translate was our friend. It was a great price, and we stayed both after arriving at SJO late at night and again before flying home. We checked in around 12am the first time and left at 2am the second. Both rooms had private bathrooms and were clean. The second-floor room had portable AC and a lovely balcony. Dogs next door were barking, but the AC drowned them out. The gated property felt very safe and had good parking, though it's tucked away down a dark street. It was about a 20-minute drive from the airport. Breakfast came with juice and coffee. On our last day we tried the soaker pool, which was cold and refreshing, good for a dip.

After a long drive, we slept really well at DaBene. It's a comfortable place, and the owners are welcoming, smiley, and helpful. Breakfast in the beautiful garden was great.

Such a nice stay! The owners were incredibly sweet. They got up at 4 at night to cook breakfast for us, even though we told them not to. When we left, they gave us a present.
