I came away feeling refreshed after every thoughtfully taught, well-structured yoga class. They suited different levels, and left me feeling grounded and challenged. Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort in Costa Rica was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The setting is lush and peaceful, just right for yoga and wellness. It felt like a sanctuary where I could disconnect, recharge, and be present. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and beautifully designed, making it easy to relax after a full day of practice. Food was another highlight: fresh, healthy, flavorful, and clearly made with care. I loved the juice bar too. The smoothies were delicious and refreshing after yoga or as a midday treat, with lots of yummy options made from fresh ingredients. I’m very happy with my stay and would highly recommend Bodhi Tree to anyone looking for a high-quality yoga retreat in a beautiful, supportive environment.

Every staff member was welcoming and pleasant, and housekeeping was incredibly quick. I texted the front desk for extra coffee, and before I could sit down, someone was knocking with it. It took less than two minutes. The rooms were clean and smelled lovely, like eucalyptus or something, not cleaning chemicals. The whole resort had the same luxurious scent you might notice walking by Macy’s in a mall. Our treetop room had a delightful waterfall shower and an extremely comfortable king bed with Egyptian cotton. The view was amazing, especially at sunset. The buffet was magnificent. I stayed seven days, and everything they made was on point. The beach, Clearwater, was beautiful and within walking distance. Free bike or golf cart rides were also available. Local shops and a pharmacy were close by and felt safe. There’s plenty to see and do. It’s a great place to learn surfing, with basic knowledge covered, good guidance, and safety made a priority. There’s also a spa, gym, and several yoga classes. I went on retreat with my phenomenal yoga instructor, Heather Solomon @yoga.ethos. Heather meets you where you are in your yoga journey and is an amazing teacher. The locals are Pura veda, and even the dogs seem to be living their best lives. This is a very special place.

The service made a real difference. Rooms were cleaned daily, and Miranda at the front desk and Luis in the restaurant were especially wonderful. The staff genuinely made the stay smooth and stress-free. Bodhi Tree was a great reset, with a lovely mix of yoga, nature, and comfort. The shalas are beautiful, open-air, and surrounded by greenery. You get one free class each day and can add more. I especially recommend Gentle Yoga with Jackie, Aerial Restore, and Core Flow. All levels are welcome, so don’t be put off by the advanced yogis around. There’s also a well-equipped, air-conditioned gym for weights and cardio. Food was delicious, with solid vegetarian options. We especially liked the pasta, and breakfast was included. The juice bar was a highlight, with great smoothies and coffee, plus comfy seats and swings. The pool area is peaceful and has plenty of seating, though the water is deeper than you might expect if you’re short or a cautious swimmer. The landscaping is stunning, and rooms are clean and comfortable, with canopy beds, a safe, outlets, coffee maker, and toiletries. Bodhi Tree is in Guiones, not central Nosara. A car is helpful for the roughly three-hour drive, and the roads can be rough. The beach is a 10-minute walk or you can take the resort golf cart shuttle. Tuk-tuks are an easy way to get into town, and the Tuesday town market is worth a visit. Bring cash for tips, tuk-tuks, and excursions. Around $200 is plenty for most travelers. Pack extra yoga or workout clothes because it’s humid, plus a reusable water bottle and beach tote. A welcoming, peaceful wellness escape with beautiful spaces and great service, whether you’re new to yoga or experienced.

The smoothie and drink bar is amazing, and the resort itself is beautiful. I loved trying yoga here. Walk-in classes are convenient and only $20. Teacher quality varies, so I’d stick with regular yoga rather than the sound bowl sessions. Definitely worth it!

I took classes with both Chelsea and Lana on different days, and enjoyed them both. Lana had a smooth flow, well-timed coaching, and an upbeat style that pushed us while keeping it fun. Chelsea brought strong energy and great music, with clear cues that kept everyone moving and motivated through the whole ride. They each had their own approach, but both were engaging, challenging, and professional. I’d happily take either class again.
