Brillasol Airport Hotel

The people here were wonderful, and it’s a quaint, beautiful place with a quiet tropical garden and a refreshing pool. But when we entered the room, it smelled like a bug bomb had been set off and needed airing out. I guess we hoped that meant we might not get bed bugs? The linens seemed clean, as did the room and bathroom, so we stayed, despite feeling poisoned by the spray. The sheets and towels were threadbare and need replacing, and the bed was harder than we like. We’d probably look elsewhere next time if our favorite hotel is full, unless they can easily improve the rooms and linens.

Behind the big gate, there’s lush greenery and a charming hotel with cozy little corners for reading or relaxing. The food was delicious, the service outstanding, and it felt like a hidden oasis in the city. We stayed after landing before going to La Fortuna, then returned for the night before our early flight. Truly perfect, Brillasol Airport Hotel is hands-down the best place to stay in San José!

We were running late for check-in, and the couple texted to make sure we were okay. They also called to check that we’d placed our breakfast order. Such a wonderful place to stay, and they’d thought of every detail. Thank you both so much.

The secure parking is inside the gated courtyard, close to the rooms. It’s a quiet spot near the airport, with a lovely garden and pool. Rooms were clean and large. Breakfast was free, simple but good, and came with a plate of fruit. Book directly for the best price.
