I had a great rest here. It's quiet, clean, and safe, with a price that's hard to beat. The host handled our WhatsApp messages very professionally in English and made a late check-in easy. They also gave me local bus details for getting to my next destination. Breakfast was just what I needed: eggs, beans and rice, plus coffee and tea. A really good spot for travelers.

It's a very cheap, budget-friendly place, but there are lots of similar options around, so I'd go elsewhere. I was told I could pay in colons, then was pushed to use a card before check-in. They also said I could buy breakfast with colons, but that wasn't an option either.

We spent our last day in Costa Rica here. It's an affordable place close to the airport, with nothing fancy but nothing terrible either. Getting to the airport was easy.

The new owners, as of Feb, 2025, are working on freshening the place up and adding amenities. It's an inexpensive, backpacker-style hotel; the staff are great, and most speak English fairly well. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are well maintained. The breakfast area is at the back, with tables inside and out. Guests can use the toasters, fridge, toaster oven, cooking burners, and other kitchen equipment. The other guests were considerate and cleared and washed their dishes.

The kitchen was one of the best-stocked ones we've seen in three weeks in Costa Rica. The new owners, as of January 2025, are doing great things, and the hosts were friendly and accommodating. It's super affordable and comfortable, and close to the airport. Los Rorros, a fantastic Mexican restaurant, is just down the street, highly recommend!
