What made this place special for me was getting to spend time with the family. Luis and his family were kind, fun to hang out with, and quick to respond. When they found out I love animals, they showed me around the area. I mentioned that I like spicy food, and they picked home-grown chili peppers for me. Luis’s wife also taught me to make plantain chips, and we all shared a meal. As a long-term traveler, I really value connecting with locals, and they made me feel like part of the family. I'd love to come back. The room was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed. I also liked sitting in the backyard and watching the different birds.

Nice, clean room with Airco, and a cheaper option too. The owner was friendly, and there's a pleasant common area with a jukebox and pool table. It's a bit off the beaten path, but we had a great time.

We had the family room with two queen beds, and everything was VERY clean. The beds were comfortable, there was hot water, and it was great value. Senor Frederico was so attentive and friendly. He even took us on a spontaneous night hike off the property. The family finca is beautiful and peaceful, with baby sloth in a tree and young cows the children could pet and feed. It's quiet and tranquil, but still very convenient to Volcan Tenorio and Rio Celeste Waterfall. Wish we'd stayed longer!

Everything was clean and working, and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and help us. Great place and friendly people. Recommended!!
