Casa Villa Jade - 10km de Río Celeste

The cabin was beautiful, modern, tastefully furnished, and really comfortable. We slept peacefully, with a natural garden full of toucans, hummingbirds, and other delightful birds. We also saw a sloth with a baby, and a tapir wandered through at night. Wish we could have stayed much longer.

We saw tons of birds, including a Yellow-Throated Toucan and a Keel-Billed Toucan, plus a sloth in the trees behind the cabinas. The spot is great for relaxing and visiting local attractions. There are lovely hosts, and the well-maintained property has everything we needed, including a spacious fenced porch that was perfect for our dog. Beautiful setting, too, with lots of wildlife and nice sunset views of Miravalles Volcano. Check out Blue River Brewery on the way to Tenorio Volcano National Park!

We only stayed one night while passing through, and communication with the owner through the Air B&B app worked well. The road changing from paved to gravel and rocky made me a little nervous, but the house and property were beautiful. In the morning the owner walked the grounds and found sloths to show us. He also showed us the coco plants and how he was fermenting and drying the coco. We ate at pizzeria down the road La Terraza In Bijagua, and I'd recommend this place.

The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, with incredible views. Waking up to the mountain and the animals singing each morning feels like a dream. We saw a sloth, hummingbirds, and various other local birds on the property. The home is beautiful, and the hosts are friendly.
