Finca Buena Fuente Residence Hotel

Great.

I slept incredibly well here. It was peaceful, and when I raised several concerns, many of them were taken care of, which I really appreciated. The place was pretty run down, though, and I hope the remaining issues get fixed for future guests or if I come back. For anyone working remotely, I wouldn't recommend it. The internet was awful and made my online job really difficult. They have Starlink, which should work well, but the routers in the rooms are from China and don't work with it. I brought this up several times, but nothing changed. One of the neighbors and I both struggled with the connection. Such a shame.

After living there, I can't recommend this place. They advertise it as all-inclusive, but then try to charge extra for water or electricity, and the owners change agreements overnight. That was a terrible experience. Getting there is awful, even with a 4x4. The property is in very poor shape, with dirt everywhere and a pool that's almost always dirty. The Wi-Fi is terrible too, and the landlord is a real gem. The listing doesn't match what you get.

The owners are very kind and respectful, and the location near Puerto Viejo beach is excellent. There's a nice roof, though grass is growing between the tiles. It could use more lighting and paths around the property. Cleanliness needs attention. The beds and floor were a little dirty when I arrived. The place is lovely, it just needs more care.
