The owner really tries to make each stay as pleasant as possible, and we would come back. On checkout day, they kindly let us leave our luggage and rental car for a few hours so we could visit the national park. Parking was free and under surveillance. It's a nice, small family-run hotel in Cahuita, with tidy, clean rooms, air conditioning, and a TV, plus a small pool and courtyard garden.

The owners are so welcoming, and the location makes it easy to get around. The national park and restaurants are just a few minutes away on foot. The rooms are spotless, breakfast is generous and tasty, and there are lots of birds, including hummingbirds, in the garden. Really lovely place to stay.

We had a great stay and really liked the pool, the cold air conditioning, and having a TV in the room. The owners, an Italian couple, were very friendly, and free parking and breakfast were included. One small thing: it would be nice to have more local or natural breakfast products. The bread seemed factory-made, and the jams and jellies listed potassium sorbate and sodium benzoate as preservatives. Real butter would be appreciated too, and the honey seemed to be honey-flavored syrup. I don’t think this was intentional. They may simply be buying food service products without realizing what’s in them, since those ingredients can be easy to miss on the labels. Thanks for a really nice stay!

We were in town for three days at the start of our ten-day trip through Costa Rica and Panama. The hotel was just what we wanted: close to downtown, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We walked everywhere and always felt safe. The breakfast changed each day, with fresh tropical fruit, a different main dish, and eggs cooked to order. Our room was clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the pool area was great. Check-in was easy and the staff were lovely. Yes, you’ll hear street dogs and chickens. That’s part of being in Central America, and we loved it. If you need sanitized travel, go to Disney World. My husband and I even decided we’d retire to Cahuita and look after street dogs. LOL!
