I proposed to my girlfriend here, and it couldn’t have felt more magical. We had delicious food and cocktails, lovely hikes in the park with a great guide, and sunrises and sunsets at the beach. We could see monkeys from our private outdoor bathroom. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make our special day amazing. This place means a lot to us now, and we’ll be back. Highly recommended!

The accommodation is basic and not as eco-friendly as I expected. Staff are very friendly, with excellent service, and the food is varied and nutritious. Still, it was disappointing and poor value for money.

The rooms have private bathrooms and water, but only cold water. There’s no electricity or lighting in the rooms, though candles are provided. The food is expensive but tastes amazing, especially dinner, and the staff make every guest feel welcome and included. It’s one of the coziest, most paradise-like lodges I’ve been to in a long time. Definitely worth visiting if you’re passing through.

A special experience in the quieter, remote part of National Park Corcovado. The tents are roomy, with an outdoor toilet and shower. Staff are kind and very helpful, and the food is fresh and tasty.

The cabanas were clean, comfortable, and charming, and the ocean, birds, and other animals were exquisite. We booked a jungle tour, and as with all the nature guides we had throughout CR, he knew the place well and spoke English pretty much perfectly. I had a minor issue, but the owners/managers dealt with it right away and kindly. We had such a magical time at La Leona.
