Hotel Mango

We stayed at the Hotel Mango on February 8 and 9, 2026, mainly for the airport proximity and free ride there. The grounds were pleasant and we felt safe. We also found a nearby restaurant and walked to dinner, though we ended up eating at another place on the way; the food was very good. Our bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and breakfast tasted good. We had wondered about the planes overhead. For our two nights, the last takeoff was around 9:10 PM each night. The first morning, one took off at 5:05 AM and another around 6. On the second morning we were up at 5 for the airport, but I didn't notice any takeoffs when we left at 6. My wife said a plane landed around 5:30, which I hadn't noticed, and landings are much quieter than takeoffs.

We checked in after midnight and the service was impeccable. The rooms aren't fancy, but they're very clean, comfortable, and have all the amenities. The pool area is spectacular, and the restaurant is amazing, with a hot breakfast included and a night restaurant for dinner plus a bar. It's so close to the airport, just a $4 Uber. A hidden gem with wonderful staff, highly recommend!

They cancelled our room while we were on the flight in, less than 15 hours before we were due to arrive and counting on a bed for us and our tired toddler. The reason given was a credit card issue, but there was no mistake on our side; it seems the transaction went wrong. They had no other room available, though they did help us find one 20 minutes away. That's not excusable. If you're coming from abroad, I wouldn't trust that your room will be waiting.

For the price, it's a fine hotel, and the location is excellent if you need to be near the airport for an early flight. You can even walk there. The receptionist was warm and welcoming, and the cute little details around the hotel add something. It felt very secure. The room itself could be better: the bed is large but the mattress is very stiff, and the pillows are terrible. You can hear noise, so bring earplugs. The curtains don't block much light, and lights kept coming on and off through the night even though I faced the courtyard.
