Caribe Town Bungalows

The property feels like a special little pocket of nature, with more animals around than I saw in the national parks. We stayed two nights and had a great time. The rooms were very clean, and Joel and Karilily, along with volunteers Livia and Eric, were all so kind and helpful.

Joel made us a delicious lunch after our wellness activities, with authentic, tasty food and a great dessert. We tried soul flow yoga, a sound bath in the pool, chakra cleansing with Karlily, and reiki healing with Forever. Both did a wonderful job, and we left feeling deeply relaxed. Karilily clearly cares about helping your body feel its best and working through internal roadblocks. You don’t need any yoga or meditation experience to enjoy it. I’d return in a heartbeat for the session, the meal, and the hospitality. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Costa Rica’s Caribbean side, or even planning a trip around this experience.

The staff were attentive and ready to help, and the owners made us feel like old friends. Caribe Town Bungalows and Suites is tucked into lush greenery, but the beach and everything else you need are just a short walk away. It’s comfortable, peaceful, and has a really good feel to it. I’d gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone coming to the area.

Poolside with a cold Cocoloco was a highlight, and the easygoing, soulful atmosphere made it hard to leave. I loved the yoga and boxing classes, both fun and energizing. Breakfasts were creative and started with fresh tropical fruit, coconut French toast or savory omelets. My open air bungalow had a mosquito net, and falling asleep to jungle sounds each night felt magical. The garden brought some of my closest wildlife sightings in Costa Rica, including sweet baby sloths. It felt like a real nature retreat, while dreamy beaches and Puerto Viejo were still close. I’ll 100% be back.
