***EDIT*** I had a pleasant stay here a few weeks ago, and my reservation was honored at $85 a night during Christmas week. I couldn’t find anything cheaper nearby that wasn’t a hostel or a hole in the wall, probably because it was the holiday season. So please don’t let the previous review put you off. I had no trouble checking in, and I think it may have been written by the disgruntled person I’m referring to. The owners and staff were very nice, helpful, and accommodating. At check-in, the owner was dealing with someone demanding a room despite not having a reservation, and I was impressed by how composed he stayed. My partner and I will be back, and I highly recommend the place.

For a quiet, really lovely holiday, I can definitely recommend Cabinas. We booked through Airbnb and the whole process went smoothly. The accommodation was spotless, just steps from a great sandy beach, a bar and restaurant, and a supermarket. Reviews are subjective, of course.

I can’t say what staying here is like, since I wasn’t able to stay. My Google booking ran into the double-booking problem the owner had been trying to get rid of. The other guests had paid and I hadn’t, so my reservation couldn’t be kept. What I can say is that Natalia was so sorry about the mix-up and worked hard to find me somewhere else. It was a holiday weekend, so there weren’t many options, but she spent over an hour, I think, calling places and searching on the computer. Thankfully we found a nice spot nearby. I really appreciated all the effort she put in on such a crazy weekend. Awesome customer service. I imagine a stay here would be just as great.

Ray, Natalia, and Melvin are so friendly and really look after their guests. The cabinas were always clean and tidy, and while I was there they had things going on during the week, like movie night and open mic. This is definitely the best cabinas in manzanillo. I highly recommend it for solo travelers, families, and groups, since they can accommodate all of them.
