We spent most of our time wandering the garden, where we spotted all kinds of wildlife, from turtles and toucans to snakes and sloths. The bungalow was clean, the surroundings peaceful, and the owner incredibly welcoming. It’s a great place to stay on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast.

We loved this little hidden gem ❤️ The bungalow was spotless, and we got fresh towels every day. It’s only a few minutes from the beach and close to restaurants, bars, and other lively spots, while the sounds of nature made it feel like sleeping outdoors. Such a great place, and a great host!

An unforgettable stay. The building is thoughtfully designed, with lovely attention to detail, and the place feels private, comfortable, and clean, surrounded by nature. Everything was perfect.

Emilio was super helpful, and it was lovely to hear that he designed the buildings himself using local wood. The casitas sit among lush gardens, with birds and crickets all around, sometimes monkeys and even the ocean in the distance. We enjoyed the open living room and fully equipped kitchen, and slept to the sounds of nature. Taxis made it easy to get around, costing 5 USD to Puerto Viejo and 12 USD to Punta Uva.

The grounds feel natural, with plenty of trees and shrubs and tidy, well-lit paths to the cabins. I especially liked the scent of what I think was ylang-ylang by ours, and there was wildlife right in the yard, so keep your camera handy. The cabins have space between them and each has a full kitchen. Though open-air, they come with plug-in bug repellents. Inside, the rooms are roomy, the beds comfortable, and the decor quaint. It’s a quiet spot close to the beach and about a five-minute walk from the main road and supermarket, but still private. Nature sounds will lull you to sleep.
