Toro Blanco Resort

It felt safe and secure, and once we’d settled in, we found it really nice. People call the property outdated, but I’d say it’s more of a Costa Rica vibe. It’s right in the heart of Coco Beach, an easy walk to everything in town, so we didn’t need a rental car. Our flight wasn’t leaving until later that night, and they let us leave our bags in the office while we walked around town. When we got back, we could use their outdoor facilities to freshen up before heading home. I’d recommend Toro Blonco to my friends.

The location is great, one block from the beach and main road, and the gates are locked with a security guard at night, so it felt safe. Breakfast was very good, with fresh pinto gallo and scrambled eggs, plus fruit, bread, pastries, coffee, and juice. Rooms are a little dated but work fine. The pool is a nice place to relax and swim, though the swim-up bar had no attendant.

The breakfast was delicious and always ready on time, and they even had chairs and pillows to sit on, which we appreciated. The hotel is cute, in a great spot near the beach, and the staff were really sweet. Definitely recommend.

I loved my whole week at Toro. The owner and staff were friendly and very accommodating, and my room was nicely decorated, with a kitchenette and updated bathroom. It was also great being so close to the beach, food, and bars, all within walking distance. Pura Vida!
