The drive in takes a bit of care, so go slowly ;). Once there, the garden is beautiful and the rooms and beds are good. The owner, who’s from Belgium, really tries to make you feel welcome, and she cooks an amazing meal. Such a lovely place.

At night, all you hear is the forest, which we weren’t used to, so earplugs helped us sleep. There’s no air conditioning or Wi-Fi in the cabins, though we didn’t need either since we were out during the day. We spent four nights in a container cabin and really enjoyed it. The owners were friendly, and we liked the meals, especially the very good dinner. Some facilities are getting old, but they didn’t take away from our stay. The grounds, facilities, and atmosphere felt charming and comfortable. With a rental car, the location worked perfectly for visiting Rincón de la Vieja and la Leona falls. We were glad we chose this over the expensive adventure hotel nearby, Guachipelin? A high-clearance vehicle was handy for the area and for getting here. Our one suggestion is to put a meal signup sheet at reception.

The location worked really well for trips to Rincon volcano and waterfall Leona. It’s a personally run B&B, with dinner available, and the large tables make it easy to meet other visitors and swap stories over dinner or breakfast. The rooms are fine. I’d have liked a little more pressure in the shower.

The owners and staff made me feel welcome right from check-in, and the room was cozy and private. Casa de Campo is convenient for visiting lovely spots in nature, including Leona Waterfall. The food was incredible, with a good mix of the local culture and the owners’ culture. I’d strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Liberia. It made for a cozy, wonderful stay.
