We loved the place and are going back this year. Last May, my wife and I stayed three nights in the Monkey Room, a lovely little spot tucked away on a rocky bay. The restaurant was great, and we had no issues during our visit. The water went out one morning after a storm, but that happens in Costa Rica, no worries. Costa Rica has changed a lot since my first trips in the 90s, and many of the little surf-oriented places have changed a lot too. The entrance sits tucked beside the main road, and the drive in is steep, which makes it even more fun. Highly recommend.

The staff and the place were incredible, and the food was fantastic. I stayed in room El tucan, where the view from the bed was amazing, and falling asleep to the tides hitting the rocks was just perfect. The cheeseburger, French toast, and the rest of the menu were delicious. Don’t miss the tasty IPA. One thing to know: the ocean here is dangerous, with strong rip currents. For swimming or surfing, you need to drive a couple of miles. The hotel is conveniently located, and beautiful beaches are a short drive away.

We had our wedding here, and loved it. Amazing views, phenomenal service, and management that truly cared. The staff and location were spectacular. We can’t wait to come back.

The food was delicious, the staff were kind, and the location is amazing. Rooms were clean and simple, without a TV, but with those views, who cares? The only trouble was the WiFi in the casitas, which was extremely spotty. I wish they could boost the signal.

The people here were amazing, so kind and welcoming. The food was to die for, and the whole place feels like paradise. 13/10, I’ll come back whenever I can.
