Our cabin could sleep up to 6, though there were just two of us, and it was huge. The bathroom was huge too, the kitchen was well equipped even though we didn't use it, and the terrace hammocks were a nice extra. The two cabins belong to a nearby couple of Ticos, while check in and payments are handled through Jacomar hotel. They're a very welcoming couple. You wake up to macaws. You might spot a few cockroaches or ants, but you're in the middle of a rainforest, so don't let it bother you.

The climb to the lodge is steep, I'll admit, but the view at the top makes it worthwhile. Seeing the iguanas and macaws took my breath away just as much as the stairs. The big terrace is a paradise in the heat, clean, well laid out, and blissful. It gets really hot, but the air conditioning works very well and quietly. I'm won over.

We were welcomed by the owner with a big jug of freshly made juice, and someone carried our luggage up the 100-step staircase. What wonderful service, thank you! The cottage is lovely and spacious, with a pretty balcony, comfortable hammocks, and fantastic sea views amid lots of wildlife. We saw hummingbirds, macaws, toucans, iguanas, and other beautiful birds. Apparently there's a boa around too, though we didn't see it. A wonderful place to stay in Drake Bay, highly recommended. Pura Vida!!

The cabins have everything you need, and the ocean view is stunning. Service was excellent, with the staff attentive right through our departure. Highly recommended.
