The kids loved unwinding in the hammocks and watching toucans, other birds, and monkeys. Breakfast was delicious, and after trekking it was handy to have an outdoor basin for washing boots and lines to dry clothes. Everything was immaculately clean and had the conveniences we needed. Norlyn was such a lovely, helpful host. He even drove us to the boat dock at 5:50am for our national park tour, and our room was ready when we got back. We had a fabulous stay!

We went fishing with the owner, who took us out on the ocean for a good price. With his guidance and experience, we caught 40 pounds of fish. He brought fresh fruit, snacks, and sodas for the trip, which was fun and family-friendly and didn’t take much experience. The hotel was extraordinary for the price, with clean, nice rooms and a different simple, delicious breakfast each day. The owner and staff were welcoming, reliable, and kind. They even helped when we realized after checkout that we’d left something in our room. Five stars, would recommend!

We stayed one night before heading to the park in the morning and were really impressed. Norlyn owns the place and was super responsive and helpful on WhatsApp. Breakfast was included and very good, with fresh eggs, fruit, and toast. The rooms are small and basic, as expected, but more than enough.

We stayed in Feb/March 2023, and Kimberly is the reason this gets five stars. She helped us three different times and saved our trip. I meant to post this review ages ago. The room was cheap and worth the price, though I don’t think there was hot water. They had nice hammock swings and served a really good breakfast even before our boat to Corcovado left. Kimberly also picked us up and dropped us off at the beach for our boat to and from Sierpe.

The rooms could use more privacy, and the location was convenient and nice but nothing special. We still enjoyed our stay. The owner was kind and did what he could to make it as good as possible. It was also really nice to be able to use the main kitchen.
