The dive itself was enjoyable, and the underwater scenery was beautiful, but the dive center recommended through the hotel, drake bay diving, didn't meet our expectations. The owner, Ivan Ruiz, came across as unfriendly and unprofessional, and getting the equipment ready was more stressful than it needed to be. I can't recommend this dive center if you value respectful, professional service. The hotel was excellent, with a fantastic shower and a well-equipped kitchen. A small crocodile lives right by the river, which was a unique little highlight. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was peaceful at night.

Maureen was very welcoming and helped us with lots of questions about the area that we couldn't easily answer online. She put us in touch directly with guides and trips, and gave us great suggestions for things to do nearby. I highly recommend her.

We stayed six nights, and our room with a terrace and garden was perfect, except for some road noise. Choose your room carefully, as some are better than others. The place was very clean, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. The community kitchen is great if you're on a budget, and there's a supermarket across the road that sells literally everything. They also arrange tours that are cheaper than TripAdvisor. When we went from Sierpe straight to Sirena overnight, they even collected our cases from the beach. Good value in Drake Bay.

The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Robin especially is a wonderful person who'll go out of his way to help organize whatever you need, and he has great advice about things to do and places to visit. We stayed 15 nights and really enjoyed it. The beach is just a couple of minutes' walk down the road, where some stairs lead down to it. There's also a supermarket right across the road, and a great, efficient laundry place next to it.

The room was big and clean, and the staff were super friendly. It made a perfect base for our Corcovado trips. Many thanks for letting us leave our car and belongings in the room while we went to Sirena station.
