The sidewalks are the main drawback if you want to walk to nearby restaurants. Some are uneven, there are a couple of places where you have to step into the road, and there are actual holes, so you need to be able-bodied. We also noticed road noise unless the room faced inward. If you’re sensitive to pollution, fumes from the cars, trucks, and motorbikes can be noticeable. That comes with being right in the middle of Escazu. Inside, everything was spotless and the room was well equipped. There’s no dish soap, but housekeeping washes the dishes each day. The gated grounds make parking feel safe. The gym is open 24/7, there’s a laundry room, and the staff were wonderful. I loved the amenities, especially the warm pool and Jacuzzi. We didn’t use the unheated pool. Breakfast had hot and cold choices, with paid omelettes available, though we didn’t feel the need to upgrade. It’s a little oasis on a very busy road.

After our medical procedures, this felt like a safe home base. The hotel has a gated entrance, attentive security staff who open and close it, and plenty of parking. Housekeeping cleaned the rooms every day, and the plates and cooking supplies were all clean and present. The kitchen is spacious and has everything you’d need, and the rooms have good TVs, fast Wi-Fi, lovely tile floors, big windows with three settings to open or close them and cut noise, and a comfortable, spacious layout with plenty of cupboards. The bathroom felt very safe and comfortable too. The sheets and pillows were clean and wonderful. There’s a great pool, gym, and laundry room, plus a good daily breakfast. The kitchen staff and table service were excellent, and everyone was kind and patient. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. It’s a true gem, conveniently located near America Dental and the Country Club, with beautiful views and easy access to food, supermarkets, and Multiplaza. Absolutely recommended, more than five stars.

I got to room 106 on Sunday, March 1st, and things seemed to go smoothly at first. I was in town for dental implants at a nearby, very highly rated clinic. I rarely give fewer than three or four stars, but I wanted to share what happened. The worst issue came on the morning of March 4, when the suite lost all power. I had to use my cell phone flashlight to shower, then finish packing in the dark. Before that, the TV reception was very choppy and hard to watch. Also, the shower door base where the metal meets the tile probably needs caulking, because the whole bathroom floor got wet every time I showered. It’s a pretty nice place overall, but those problems were frustrating.

For the price, there’s a lot here in terms of quality, safety, and amenities. The apartments are spacious, breakfast is included with a big range of choices, and the staff are super nice. Security staff are careful and pleasant too. You also get pools, a jacuzzi, gym, laundry, a small store, and airport pickup and drop-off. I think it’s a great option.
