There are two big grocery stores nearby for provisions, and a dive shop right on site. Getting around is easy since taxis anywhere in Gulfito have a fixed fare of $3. The marina has friendly people all around, plus someone who can help with immigration papers when you're arriving or leaving. Moorage is good and affordable, with water and electric hookups. There's a nice restaurant with English-speaking staff, showers, and laundry service for $10 US per load. I'd give Marina Gulfito five stars, but this review is for the marina itself. Unless you need something extra special, it has what you need.

I didn't stay at the hotel, but the staff were really nice and the bar was good. The bay view is great. Prices are at marina level, though.

The suite I had was really spacious, and the food was unbelievably good. A few of the drinks were the best I've ever had. It's the sort of place that works well if all you need is somewhere to spend the night and rest your head. In the end, you get what you pay for.

Mauricio, the manager, is wonderful and caring, and Jessica was so helpful and lovely to chat with. Marco takes care of the bar and restaurant and is amazing. The food and drinks were perfect, and the staff had great suggestions for places to see and visit. They made us feel like family from day one. So grateful! Our room was big, with a very large bathroom and a great setup.

We had lunch here and it was pretty good overall. My bilge hamburger, as it's called, was enormous and piled with toppings. I couldn't finish it. My wife got the whole fried fish, but it was a bit overdone and didn't taste as good as one we'd had the day before. Still a solid four stars.
