Even with rain and fog, Mauricio took us on a great adventure to the hot springs river in the jungle, and tried hard to make sure we were happy. We could barely see the Volcano, so he offered other activities and went the extra mile throughout. He clearly loves showing people his neighborhood and knows how to spot all the species. We found him on a cozy street in La Fortuna and booked a full-day tour for four at the best price around. His small-group approach was perfect for avoiding commercial crowds. Booking with Mauricio turned out to be a great decision. Best wishes to our Papa guide!

Mauricio made our trip to Costa Rica feel personal and memorable. He’s a passionate local with deep knowledge of the country’s nature, culture, and hidden spots. We’d taken tours with big companies before, but none matched the care and attention he gave us. He shaped the days around what interested us and stayed flexible throughout. He also helped us find good local deals and took us to honest, reasonably priced places to shop and eat, away from tourist traps. Professional and kind, he really wants your trip to feel smooth, safe, and full of great memories.

We had only booked one night but ended up staying five more. The location was perfect, the staff were great, and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and secure, with off-street parking. Mauricio was spot on as a tour guide and advisor. Couldn’t have asked for better service.

The hotel includes free admission to three thermal spas: Laureles, Termalitas del Arenal, and Relax Termalitas. We also had a great time on the Mistico Hanging Bridges tour with Mauricio. We spotted a glass frog protecting its eggs, two three-toed sloths, and several yellow-beaked toucans.

Mauricio was incredibly helpful when we booked an excursion with him. We were lucky to run into him when we did, and he even showed us around town, going well beyond what he needed to do. Five stars for him, and thank you, Mauricio!
