Hotel Lavas Tacotal

Flowers all around and a view of the famous Arenal volcano make this hotel feel like paradise. Really gorgeous.

The location right by the volcano is perfect, and even with cloudy weather during our stay, the scenery was beautiful. Service was helpful from the start to the end. Our room was okay, the price was awesome, and breakfast was included and really good. What an experience. Thanks so much, I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat 💯✅💪

The garden and volcano view were the best part for me, especially relaxing by the pool and looking out at the volcano. Our room was spacious, bright, and fresh, with very comfortable beds and pillows. The fridge was surprisingly large, handy for storing food and drinks, and there’s a supermarket within walking distance. The food was okay, though the dining area felt bare and impersonal. It has potential to improve.

The staff were very friendly, and the laundry service was great. Everything was clean, and the garden has a lovely volcano view. We had a standard room, which felt a little short on coziness, so I’d suggest one of the little houses. Breakfast could be better, especially the hot food like eggs and pancakes. It wasn’t as tasty as what we’d gotten used to elsewhere in Costa Rica.
