The woman who runs this place was the kindest person we met in Costa Rica. It's well kept, and the bus station is only a couple of minutes away.

The kitchen was clean and had plenty of useful utensils, plus coffee, oats, oils, and spices. Our private room had air conditioning and clean sheets, and the area felt very safe, close to both the bus station and supermarket. Graciella is a lovely host who clearly works hard. Thanks, Graciella, we'd happily recommend staying here.

This place isn't fancy, but it was excellent value. The staff were friendly and flexible, and the shared bunk room was comfortable, with considerate people staying in it and air conditioning that kept things pleasant. I enjoyed the coffee and oatmeal provided for breakfast. Two weeks earlier I paid three times as much for a downtown hotel that looked a little nicer but felt less comfortable. The nearby bus station made getting to the airport easy, and the trip cost 500 colones, about 1 USD.
