Hotel Cabanas La Teca

The cabins were cute and clean, with a TV, fridge, and AC that all worked well. The bed was fine, and the food was typical but quite nice. We stayed just one night before heading to the airport. The manager was pleasant and communication was good, though it seemed he was doing all the work. The area felt very industrial. The bathroom could use an upgrade: the tiles were cracked with jagged edges, and a leaking shower left water pooled on the floor. Families staying in the cabins enjoyed the pool, but it needs work and didn't look clean.

We loved our two-night stay at this lovely resort tucked away from the usual route. The wooden cabins, pool, and restaurant were beautiful, and the food was great. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and they can arrange a ride to the airport. Breakfast is included, and there was even a resident cat, Luna. It was popular with kids and Ticos on the weekend.

We ended up here after our flight was delayed by 19 hours, and we loved the place. The owner is so kind and accommodating, and will even drive you around for a small fee. He built everything himself and is American or Canadian, so he's very helpful if you need anything. The grounds are beautifully kept, each room feels like its own little cabin oasis, and the food is amazing.

The grounds are great, especially for kids, and the cabins are charming. Rustic here means quaint and nice, not run-down. Our cabin had a comfortable bed, a strong fan, and its own AC. The shower was great too, with hot water and good pressure. We didn't find a room safe, which is my only major suggestion, though they may offer one. We'll definitely come back.
