It was cheap, sure, but as a three-star place we expected some basics: warm running water and a room without cockroaches. We didn't even try breakfast after finding a bug about 3 inches long. Eww. The shower and sink share one lever that only turns the water on and off, with no temperature control, and the water was barely warmer than cold. The electrical panel is right at the edge of the shower. We've stayed in budget hotels before, but these were deal breakers, and we arrived too late to feel we could leave. Traffic was loud too.

The rooms are small but functional, with no couches and only one chair. There was no hot water, though that wasn't much of a surprise in this part of the world. The restaurant is good and has enough choices for most people. A little overpriced, but close to the airport.

We were happy with the price on a trip to Costa Rica with friends. We ate only at the hotel restaurant, and the food was very good. The kitchen crew and other staff were all super friendly. AC worked really well in the bedrooms, and it didn't get hot enough for us to mind that there was none elsewhere. Wi-Fi was the one problem that never really got sorted. It was spotty, and we had to move around the hotel to get online. Still a nice hotel for the price, and a good pick if you want somewhere inexpensive that isn't disgusting.

Great value, and we had no trouble, though the neighborhood felt a little concerning with fences and bars around everyone's yards. The bathroom was more alarming, with exposed electrical wiring.

We were so glad to find this hotel. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable, with a nice atmosphere and great value. It's a short distance from central Liberia, in a peaceful area.
