Cabinas Yamann

A small heads-up: the internet was a bit patchy. Still, this may be the best place to stay in Manzanillo. The cabinas are simple, well kept, and spotlessly clean, set in a lovely garden with a communal kitchen and pool. It’s a short walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants, and there’s one free load of laundry per stay, so you can head to your next stop with clean clothes. Sit quietly and still by the pool for ten minutes, and I saw more beautiful birds in the next twenty than I’d seen on several jungle walks. We also spotted a sloth on the road outside one morning.

The cabins were spacious, comfortable, beautiful, and clean. Manzanillo is a lovely village with plenty of sodas and grocery stores for what you need. Weekends can get busy, but it’s quiet during the week and feels like you have the place to yourself. The beaches are so beautiful. Tanya and Daniel, the owners, made our two-week stay a great experience. They’re wonderful hosts, and I felt like I’d made lifelong friends. There was coffee ready in the morning, they shared information about local plants and wildlife, and they helped organize tours. I hated leaving, but I know I’ll be back and will stay at Cabinas Yamann again.

The owners are a really sweet couple, and there was coffee ready in the morning, which matters! The cute kitchen and the rest of the property were amazing and well kept. The photos were truly accurate and everything looked beautiful. The beach is just a short walk away. I felt safe walking alone to the bus and town except really late at night. I’d recommend it for a quieter getaway. :)
