We’ll definitely be back. The pool area was one of the best I’ve seen, and the food was excellent too. Our room was spacious, clean, and really nice. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the bartenders, especially Darren and Jered, were fantastic.

The staff were kind and helpful once we arrived, though the first messages I got when I tried to cancel were not. I left early, and they agreed to refund the unused days, but now they’re delaying the refund. I don’t understand the many four and five star reviews. I felt ripped off, and I’d avoid this place. The Booking.com photos made it look lovely, especially the one with a woman relaxing in the pool, but the rooms were extremely basic and ugly. Mine had a broken window, and the decor, furniture, and fittings all felt very old. The pool itself was okay, but the concrete around it was very rough. It was packed with families on weekends and school groups during the week, so it wasn’t relaxing like the misleading photos suggest. The food, including breakfast, was inedible to me, so I had to go out to eat every day. There’s not much nearby, and the location is far from everything, which made eating out costly. They charged me over $100 a night, though I saw it advertised for half that while I was there, presumably because it wasn’t fully booked. Even at half price, I think it would still have been overpriced.

The beds are pretty hard, and breakfast was below average. They only give you one piece of bread or one piece of banana bread, not both. The playground is broken and unsafe for kids. The AC is dirty and makes an extremely loud noise every now and then.

A nice place surrounded by nature, and we were there with kids. The pool was good, with a separate one for children. Breakfast was tasty, and the clean rooms had what we needed for simple cooking. It’s a little far from the beach and the stores in puero viecho, but there are plenty of tuk-tuks in the erae. Recommended!

We were lucky to get the last room when we drove into Manzanillo Carib Resort looking for somewhere to stay that night. It was clean and cozy, with a small kitchen and fridge, so we had everything we needed. The included breakfast was the best of our whole trip, a full, tasty buffet with fresh fruit, good coffee, and plenty of breakfast favorites. It’s a quiet location, just a short drive from Manzanillo Beach, where there are several restaurants and a lovely nature reserve beach walk. We enjoyed the birds around the gardens and pool, too. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
