Montana Linda Hostel Orosi

The rooms are simple, but had everything we needed, and the facilities were great. Staff were kind and helpful, and the hostel felt welcoming and down to earth. They have plenty of suggestions for things to do in orosi and places to eat. The cats and dogs were really cute too :) Highly recommend!

We had a lovely time here. It’s close to the city, but nights are very quiet, and the birds wake you in the morning. There are two lovely dogs, plus a cuddly “wild” one who drops by from time to time.

The communal spaces have a warm, authentic feel. Montana Linda is tucked into Orosi, and the owners are down to earth and know Costa Rica very well. Highly recommend.

There’s a nice social area, comfortable beds, and the place feels very secure. The family who run it are great, and cleaners are always at work. You can get free coffee and there are lots of cooking utensils, though the outdoor kitchen could use an update and is just passable. The toilets should have bins with lids because there’s often a smell. If you want peace and quiet, this may not suit you: loud music comes on every Saturday night, dogs bark at any time of day, and kids run around. There are two sweet dogs, too.
